Query results: September, 2013

I think now is a good time to close this blog. I still have many ideas and dis­cov­er­ies to write about, but some­how they seem to mature more eas­i­ly, so that the urge to shape them with words in a pub­lic page seems to fade now. I also have oth­er venues for churn­ing ideas, images and text: the con­tin­u­ous update of lec­ture notes, the edit­ing of Wikipedia, con­tri­bu­tions to Wiki­me­dia Com­mons, and most espe­cial­ly, hours spent stand­ing in a class­room every week explain­ing com­pli­cat­ed things. There will be more, and I feel com­fort­able let­ting go of this one.

I don’t look back over the six-year blog to find mean­ing, a pat­tern, or a sense of com­plete­ness; but I can whole­heart­ed­ly say writ­ing here has been a great plea­sure. I look for­ward to telling my grand­kids: Yes I have been to the blogosphere.
