Things Teachers Can Learn From the Aviation Industry
Last month I made a conference talk titled “the Cockpit Classroom”. I made it for my colleagues, who like me, teach at the high school level.
The talk is inspired from, and largely based on, a talk given last year by Dominique Arickx for French glider pilot instructors. Arickx, a retired Air France pilot, now spends his time training medical professionals about importing safety practices and culture from the aviation industry, and I thought I would try to do the same thing with teachers.
